Triangle Consultation
All of Triangle’s own work involves disabled children and young people, and we rely on the views of our consultative groups to take our own work forward.
Consultation
Triangle runs two consultative groups of children and young people. These groups are fundamental to reviewing Triangle's work and practices in order to improve our services for other young people.
We also offer a consultation service where your organisation or project can be reviewed by our groups of young people.
We can also provide consultatants who will work with you to consult with children and young people. For example we have consulted with school students, residential home residents, users of children's services to find out how services and experiences can be improved.
Ways we can be involved in research and consultation:
- Sharing knowledge and resources
- Partnering in the project
- Designing child friendly methods
- Piloting projects with our own groups of children and young people
- Training in consulting with children and young people
- Finding out what groups of children and young people think about services
Research and consultation
Researchers and consultants develop knowledge & evidence-based practice
Triangle undertakes research independently and in collaboration with others. We have very strong links with the Universities of Portsmouth and Teesside and have undertaken research and consultations for the Social Care Institute for Excellence (SCIE), the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health (RCPCH), the NHS, the Department of Education, the Office of the Children's Commissioner and many local authorities.
